Okie Pinokie
This site used to be swampy and marshy and there have been at least 8 decaying bodies found there (reported by Mississinewa staff). This site could be an old burial ground from the Indians wandering in this area. Is this area haunted like people have said? Have you ever been to Okie Pinokie and whistled to see if anyone returns the whistle. It used to be a hangout for young teens having beer parties back in the 50's. Maybe all the beer dumped on the ground made for the good mushroom hunting. It is a large woods where many people look for those famous morels. As far as being haunted I can't say but I am not to sure that I will go there at night. How about you?

I have been to Okie Pinokie when i was 18 yrs old....though back then we called it hobbit land cause u tend to see 3-4 foot shadow figures there at night.
I am 34 yrs old now and want to go back but i cant remember how to get there.
I live around Swazee, IN. So I was wonderin if U could post directions starting from SR13 or from Francis Slocum RD. thnks:)
take 26 up north to 31 then take a left on a gravel road. it should just pop up. i went to pinokie and got scraped many times. YOU WIL DEFF SEE SOMETHING IF YOU BRING A WEEGIE BOARD. i will never go back. there were kids crying with knives looking down on us from a tree. bring protection if you go.BEWARE!!!!!
i have been out to okie pinokie many times and i can assure you that every rumor you have ever heard is true i have seen and heard everything plus more that poeple dont know or just dont tell you about too the screaming,whistling,movment in the woods to the eyes that are seen in the trees even the dogs barking i have even seen black figure running nd roaming around iv seeen enough things out there that would give most people nightmares for a week and im not making any of this up theres alot more out there then people think try going out there at night and staying for a few hours then you'll see what im talking about but i bet you wont last more than an hour but i would be carful if i was you i live to go too these places so if it was fake i would be the first too tell you

proof of the stephany thing
my second and last venture to the woods left me terrified of the place. me and 5 others arrived around 10:30pm and stayed for close to 45 minutes we drove down the path and into the clearing when we arrived there was no one their. we went into the woods and found/saw nothing we were making aour way back to the clearing when we heard a scream so we ran to the car. at the clearing there was a white chevy truck sitting there with both doors open and no one in it we drove speedily down the path out and about half way this white truck began to follow us with its doors still open we wer going around 70mph and the truck turned into the adjacent field to the left we drove back onto the highway only to find that it had been closed off due to a car accident we waited in the line of traffic in a panic state. after a medical emergency helicopter had landed in the road tyhe police gave us the goahead to leave. at the scene there was a wrecked and mostly destroyed small white chevrolet truck.
