Miami Co."Dry"

Yesterday we talked about that poor buzzard flying from saloon to saloon to get a drink. None were open---Here is why!
Rudolph Dender and John Collins, who have saloons, are angry because the farmers voted Miami county "dry" in the election Tuesday, and consequently they have removed the hitching racks at the sides of their saloons. These racks have been available to the farmers for many years and they will be missed. The public hitching rack around the courthouse square is not large enough to accomodate all the farmers, consequently many will have to pay for having their horses put in feed stables hereafter.
I know some farmers that made homebrew. Others made dandelion and elderberry wine. I don't think they were supposed to do that --do you?
Now I also know why there are no hitching posts left--the saloon keepers got even with the farmers.
