Jeremiah was a Bullfrog

A bullfrog that weighed over three pounds was taken into the Peru Republican Office to be shown to Omer Holman years ago. The bullfrog was described as longer than your leg when you were four weeks old. The frog was one of 40 that had been received from Louisiana to be used for breeding purposes in a frog pond-hatchery.
We have always teased my grandson Jeremiah by singing the song "Jeremiah was a Bullfrog.
Wonder what that frog's name was?
I never realized how noisy they were until I went camping at a friend's pond. They decided they would bbrrruuummmppp! all night long. I can't imagine being around 40 of the little critters all night long.
